On November 11, 2025, the Town of Marion and the DAR hosted the annual Veterans Day Celebration at the First Marion Family Life Center. The Union Parish High School Band came to lead the National Anthem, along with the ROTC color guard. The speakers included Mayor Danny Smith, Pastor Jimmy Crow, Retired Air Force Captain E. Lake Medlin, Vietnam Veteran David Lee, and Marine Corps Veteran Lum Farr.
